The chronic joint conditions that serious equestrian athletes accumulate — hip labral irritation, sacroiliac dysfunction, chronic adductor strain, and the lumbar disc conditions that sustained riding posture contributes to — share a common mechanism that HBOT specifically addresses: chronic local hypoxia in the inflamed tissue.
